The game still thrives years later because of just how fun it is to play and how well everything is balanced. All in all, partying with others in Final Fantasy XI and playing your job to its fullest potential can easily keep you hooked for a long time. If you like staying busy and making sure that things run smoothly, then these jobs will definitely keep you on your toes. These roles are busier with more variety, since healing, buffing, and debuffing requires keeping a close eye on the party's health, constantly, and applying and reapplying certain enhancements for any given situation. Your party members can then use their weapon skills after yours, creating a strong Skillchain that takes out even more of the monster's health. Once you gather enough TP, you can unleash powerful weapon skills for tons of damage. Playing as a physical damage dealer, you focus on building up Technical Points, or TP, while attacking, in between using job abilities to give you massive increases to your output. All four roles play differently, but in a party, they synergize quite well together. The game is balanced around the holy trinity - tanks, healers, and damage dealers - with support role jobs that enhance your party. It can do it, but it's not ideal, seeing as you can't really upgrade GPU or CPU (E-GPU is now an option, but still, not ideal). Of course I would not recommend you buy a mac to play games, VR or not. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the performance. It's not a problem specific to Mac, but I suspect all macs will present this issue, as it seems to be something to do with the motherboard.

On the flip side, some kind souls release unofficial updates of the drivers for bootcamp, and you can download them here. Unfortunately, those are usually wayyyy out of date. Regular Amd drivers DO NOT work, bootcamp requires specific drivers.

The first thing you are gonna want to do is update the drivers, it makes a world of difference. Graphics: Like I said, my iMac comes with a Radeon 570 4gb. So you should just bite the bullet and buy the Apple one, it's gonna spare you a lot of headaches. There are reports that some others have worked, but it's never a sure thing. I tried several, and the only one that worked was the original one from Apple. On the most recent iMacs, you have to use an USB-C to HDMI adapter. There's really no excuse other than trying to sell overpriced adapters.
